Say you have two cars parking themselves and they hit eachother. Who is at fault? And what happens with the insurance? What sort of accident would it classed as? It opens up a whole new can of worms.

What about the driver-less semi-trucks? I was reading a little about that yesterday and to me you start with something small (a car) and then move onto bigger things (like a semi-truck). To me that seems crazy they are jumping the gun.

Gosh, that must suck. Is her car all bent in due to that?

I wonder if you took those who drive now and compared them to how many get into accidents just how many of those people should just stop driving. I knew one lady who managed to have 7 accidents in a year and all were general parking related accidents.

I've seen this before a few times now and I have to say while it's a good idea in principle, I'm not too sure if I'd trust it to work.

I'm sure we're all too well aware how electronics can malfunction.

I think this is a great idea for people who have a hard time parking. I know that in my family my sister always had a hard time doing this and she could really benefit from a car like this. Now all we need are the cars that drive themselves completely from point A to point B. Of course that will definitely take all the fun out of driving, but might be beneficial to some people.

I know a few people that this would work out for, but for me, I wouldn't want this in my car. It definitely takes all the fun out of parking and I've parked in some pretty interesting places. It's interesting to see where technology is taking us.

What an interesting link. It's amazing what has become of vehicles over the years. I miss the days of the simple vehicles that you just could get into and drive. Nowadays everything is so much more sophisticated and digital. I don't think I would ever own a car that is able to park itself, and if I did, I hope that there is an option to turn this feature off.
