      '65/'66 Mustang

We had a mustang when I was growing up that didn't look like either the '65 or the '66. This one had "gills" on the back quarter panels which led us to believe it was a '65 1/2. Is there such a thing? Anyone know?

I don't think there was a '65 1/2 Mustang; I know that there was a '64 1/2. Most of the differences I found was on the interior and under the hood of the vehicle. Maybe the body style of this particular Mustang from your childhood was some custom work that was done previously to it. Do you know if your parents bought it new or used at the time?

I've never heard of a '65 1/2 make either. Maybe the gills on the back quarter panels were something that someone previously had added to the car. This sounds more like a custom job to me, than a factory one. I would be really interested in seeing a photo of this vehicle. Do you have one to show?
